Exploring new hobbies and prepping designs for fall!
🎨 Studio UpdatesA few months ago I decided to pick up a new creative hobby. I’ve been carving rubber stamps and block printing. Most of the creative work I do involves a screen and I was craving something a little more traditional to do with my hands. My only struggle is the materials can get expensive over time. 😓 But I enjoy the process so much that I feel it’s worth it. My stamps aren’t perfect. They can have weird jagged edges or just don’t capture what I was going for, but it feels exciting to try something new and be a beginner again. I’ve even started creating repeating patterns with my stamps. Here are a few I’ve printed in my sketchbook. For seasonal trends, I like to prepare my designs months in advance so they can be printed on products in time for the season. So this time of year, I’m focused on cozy and spooky designs.
